Tết Trung Thu — the Mid-Autumn Festival — is one of the most beloved Vietnamese traditions. It's a time for gathering, sharing mooncakes, and admiring the full moon together.
Being far from home makes moments like these even more meaningful. VISA UCR hosts this event so every Vietnamese student at UCR can stay connected to their roots, even from halfway around the world.
The event is completely free and open to all UCR students — whether you're Vietnamese or simply curious about Vietnamese culture.
What to expect
Lantern Parade
Walk together under the full moon carrying traditional lanterns — a timeless cultural highlight of the Mid-Autumn night.
Mooncakes & Food
Enjoy mooncakes, tea, and traditional treats prepared by the VISA UCR community.
Cultural Performances
Lion dances, folk music, and vibrant cultural performances celebrating Vietnamese heritage.
Games & Bonding
Traditional games, group activities, and a chance to connect with friends in a festive atmosphere.
